What’s the Bzz? FAGE Feta Dip

Well, if you didn’t read eatingelpaso.com you may not know what a BzzAgent is. It means that I get to try new products for free (or at a reduced price) in exchange for talking to people about the product. It’s pretty neat, you can learn more at the BzzAgent website by clicking here. Anyway, the campaign that I’m in right now is for FAGE yogurt (pronouced fa-yeh).  There is a website called Fage Total Plain Kitchen that has lots of recipes on it, but you know I like to do my own thing. I’m in the middle of moving and so I have all this stuff in my fridge that I need to use up, so I decided to make this dip. I used one of the coupons for a free container of Fage that I got from BzzAgent and I chose the 0% fat variety because why not? 

Then I looked through my fridge and cabinet to see what I had left. Most of my kitchen is already in CO with Ken.  I grabbed some feta, some salt-free seasoning, a bit of dijon mustard, some crushed garlic in a jar (yeah so what it’s from a jar), and some fresh ground pepper.



Then I just sort of…threw it all together. Trivia: did you know that FAGE Total Greek yogurt is number one in Greece, only has 2-3 ingredients, and is high in protein? YUM!

Here’s what I tossed in there. You can kind of estimate the amounts by looking. I just eyeballed it but I can kind of guess how much was in there.

A container of Fage Total 0% Greek yogurt

about 3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese

1 tsp Mrs. Dash garlic & herb seasoning

1/2 tsp McCormick Perfect Pinch salt-free seasoning

1 tsp crushed garlic

1 tsp dijon mustard

ground pepper to taste


Basically just mix it all up. It ended up looking like this:

That’s pretty much when I remembered “Crap, I don’t have any pita or bread or anything like that to eat this on.” My friend Kelsey and I are going to Target and out to dinner so as I grab a couple of the cleaning supplies I forgot, I will also grab some pita and a loaf of bread. YUM!
